Money-stealing malware
Now, it is claimed that a new malware, Fleckpe, can drain your wallet and steal your money via the apps on the Google Play Store. According to a report by Kaspersky, the Fleckpe has been recently discovered on the Store, and it is available on at least 11 apps for now. Additionally, some of these apps are popular, and they have been downloaded over 600,000 times.
Although the malware seems new, it has been active since 2022, unfortunately. When you install the app, the malware will activate a one-time or lifetime subscription to premium services of the installed app without your knowledge. Thanks to this subscription, it steals your money and receive the payment.
While most of the victims are located in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Poland, it will probably expand to the rest of the world with other applications. You can check the applications you need to remove from your device.
